November 17, 2006. Resurrection Lutheran Church has been very happy to announce two more sisters to be communicant members of the Ukranian Lutheran Church. After proper Catechisis instruction Mrs. Alvina Kalchenko and Mrs. Iryna Honcharenko have been invited to the Lord's Supper (Ukrainian Lutheran Church practices closed communion). Resurrection Lutheran Church wishes many happy and blessed years to our new communicant members.

November 26, 2006. Resurrection Lutheran Church members have laid flowers to the monument of the Artificial Famine of 1932-1933 Victims. The monument is located on St. Michael's Square in Kyiv. Pastor Vyacheslav Horpynchuk has led laypeople in a short prayer to the Lord, remembering a horrible crime of the godless regime and thanking God for current freedoms. ULC faithful members traditionally remember in such a way 10 million victims that died during the genocide of the Ukrainian nation during the Communist regime reign in 1932-1933.

November 21, 2006. Kyivan Eparchy Pastoral Conference took place in Kyiv. Pastor Vadym Zinchenko was presiding over the conference. Rev. Serhiy Kudryk, ULC missionary from Chernihiv has presented his essay Chaplain Ministry in the Armed Forces: Lutheran Perspective. Pastors of the Eparchy have discussed the essay and also shared news from their parishes.

Resurrection Lutheran Church in Kyiv continues to host Bible breakfasts for Christian ladies. They study topic "The Beauty of Holiness: Living a Christian Life." It has become a good tradition for Christian women to bring to such breakfasts tasty cookies and sweets along with the Bibles. The next Bible breakfast for Christian ladies is planned for December 2, 2006. To have breakfast with Christian ladies write to: ahorpynchuk@yahoo.com

November 9-10, 2006. Annual 15th Convention of the Ukrainian Lutheran Church took place in Puscha-Vodytsia. Bishop V'yacheslav Horpynchuk was presiding at the Convention. Pastor Oleh Stetsiuk delivered Convention's essay "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification" (1 Thessalonians 4:3). The Convention has approved reports of the Church officials and elected Vasyl Korshak as the Treasurer of the ULC for the next term. The Convention has also review and approved the ULC Budget for the year 2007. A the Convention Liturgy (Rev. Olexandr Simashko as preacher), new Rector of the Ukrainian Lutheran Theological Seminary of Holy Sophia, Rev. John Vogt, was installed. Guests from the United States and Belarus were present at the Convention, in particular ELS Pastor, Paul Schneider, Thoughts of Faith mission society President, participated at the Convention Liturgy.

November 8, 2006. Annual General Pastoral Conference of the Ukrainian Lutheran Church took place in Puscha-Vodytsia near Kyiv. Pastor Taras Kokovskiy was leading the Conference. Pastor Oleh Okrugin from the Ascension Lutheran Church in Kyiv was the speaker. His report was titled as "Relations in dimension: pastor-pastor". Having discussed the report, pastors shared their experiences about their ministry. Pastors from the U.S and Belarus were attending the Conference as well.
