September 2004 Erwin Kolb's book "How to Respond Judaism" is available in Ukrainian now. The book is published in cooperation with the Lutheran Heritage Foundation. It analyzes history of Judaism and its present teachings. A reader will find also good advice on how to witness Jews of their Savior in Christian love.
September 26-27, 2004. The Synodical Council meeting took place in the building of the Lord's Cross church in the city of Kremenets. Bishop V'yacheslav Horpynchuk was presiding over the meeting. The Synodical Council discussed current matters of the ULC ministry.
Brother Kermit Traska, the Executive Director of the "Thoughts of Faith" mission society was among the invited guests of the Synodical Council. All the members of the Synodical Council as well as guests with their brothers and sisters from the parish in Kremenets were able to enjoy the celebration of the Litrugy on Sunday and take part in celebrations of the Holy Cross day in the congregation of Kremenets on September 27. September 25, 2004. "Christian Family" Seminar took place in Kremenets. The Seminar was held in the building of the Lord's Cross Church in the city. Mr. Thomas Conzelmann ("Thoughts of Faith" mission society) was leading the Seminar. Members of the Lord's Cross congregation as well as members of other parishes of the Galician Eparchy took active part in it. September 8, 2004. "Parsonage Is a Model Christian Family" seminar took place in Puscha Vodytsia.
Dr. Wayne Borgwardt was leading the seminar. Pastors
of Kyivan Eparchy, their wives and members of their families took
part in the seminar. September 7, 2004. Pastoral Conference of the Kyivan Eparchy took place in Pusch Vodytsia near Kyiv. Pastor Pavlo Bohmat was presiding over the Conference. Pastor Pavlo Oskolov has presented his paper "The Bible IS Against Homosexuality." After discussing the presented paper, pastors have exchanged their experience of their ministry in parishes of the Kyivan Eparchy.
