August 2006 Lutheran Heritage Foundation has published another useful book for Ukrainian Lutherans. «Ministry, Word , and Sacraments, an Enchiridion». The book was written by Martin Chemnitz. This edition consists of four parts and in the forms of questions and answers it systematically responds to major questions of Christian religion such as, pastoral ministry of the Church, the Word of God, the Sacraments, pious life etc. The book has a good index. Pastor Yuriy Fizer has translated the book into Ukrainian. August 27, 2006. Faithful members of the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Kyiv have wished all God's richest blessings to Petro Rybalchenko, a University graduate who went to Taiwan for further studies of the Chinese language. Petro Rybalchenko has been a long time a cross-bearer, a lector and a secretary of the congregation. On behalf of the congregation brother Serhiy Nikolayenko has delievered a bouquet of flowers to Petro and wished his a safe flight to Taiwan, productive stay there and return to his dear congregation. The parish members have wished many and blessed years to Petro in a special Ukrainian Christian hymn. We join all these wishes and we ask vistors of the web-site to keep brother Petro in your prayers as well.
August 19-20, 2006. Ukrainian Lutheran
Church Bishop V'yacheslav Horpynchuk has visited ULC congregation
in Simferopol. Deacon Mykola Lutskiy serves the congregation
now. Bishop V'yacheslav had eetings with local parish members
and participated in the Holy Liturgy as well as Bible classes
taught by Deacon Lutskiy. Congregegation members study the Gospel
of John now.
